Armenian Assembly Communications Internship – Fall 2014

The Armenian Assembly of America is currently seeking an unpaid intern for our Communications department in our Washington, D.C. office for the 2014 fall semester. Start/stop dates are flexible (September-December).


The ideal Communications internship candidate will be studying/have experience in journalism, traditional and social media, video/photo editing, politics, international affairs, and strong English language proficiency. Experience with web design and HTML are preferred, but not required. As in any public relations position, candidates must posses strong research skills necessary to navigate complex issues. Candidates that are familiar with regional and international think-tanks, local, regional, national and international media outlets/publications, and a strong ability to navigate Congressional and U.S. government agency databases are desired. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, possess outstanding written and verbal communications skills, and demonstrate an ability to work well with others in a fast-paced team environment.
