WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Armenian Assembly of America (Assembly) extended its congratulations to the people of Armenia and the newly elected Prime Minister.

The Assembly letter to Prime Minister Pashinyan read in part:  “We applaud Armenia’s demonstration of democracy in action.”  “As the transition to a parliamentary system of government continues, the Armenian Assembly will continue to urge the United States government to do more to fortify and advance the critical relationship between America and Armenia,” the letter also stated.

Established in 1972, the Armenian Assembly of America is the largest Washington-based nationwide organization promoting public understanding and awareness of Armenian issues. The Assembly is a non-partisan, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt membership organization.
