After a long first week, the Assembly interns are getting used to DC and the crazy weather, as well as adjusting to intern life. Although a few interns are missing from the picture, we’re all busy representing the Armenian Assembly by interning for different organizations across the city. The entire group will be attending orientation today at the Assembly office, and we will get to know one another a little better if we haven’t done so already!
The interns are excited for week two. On the agenda are Noris Balabanian and Vartan Vartanian from the Department of Homeland Security, meetings on Capitol Hill with Congressmen Brad Sherman (D-CA) and Adam Schiff (D-CA), and the Coptic Solidarity’s 6th annual conference entitled “100 Years Later: Middle East Christians Face Another Genocide.”
Excited to see everyone there today! Good luck on your second week!
