Armenian Foreign Minister Discusses U.S.-Armenia Relations with U.S. Official

On November 16, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with

United States European and Eurasian Affairs Deputy Assistant Secretary Bridget Brink and discussed U.S.-Armenia relations, trade partnerships, and a peaceful settlement for the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh.


Nalbandian commended the friendly bipartisan relations between Armenia and the U.S., emphasizing the considerable progress that has been achieved through joint efforts in recent years. In return, Brink thanked Nalbandian for the reception and noted that the U.S. is interested in further strengthening the two countries’ diplomatic ties.


During the meeting, they discussed the development of trade and economic cooperation, especially the U.S.-Armenia Council on Trade and Investments and U.S.-Armenia Joint Economic Task Force (USATF). The Foreign Minister and Deputy Assistant Secretary also focused on pressing international and regional problems, especially the implementation of agreements reached during the summits in Vienna and St. Petersburg aimed at a peaceful settlement process of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
