Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Meets with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State

(MFA) – On November 6, Foreign Minister Nalbandian, while in a working visit to Paris, held a meeting with the Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken.


Both sides expressed appreciation on the high level of bilateral relations. They attached importance to the visa regime facilitation that entered into the force from January 2015 and the Trade and Investment Framework Agreement that was signed this May.


Edward Nalbandian and Antony Blinken discussed the prospects of enhancing of the economic cooperation, exchanged views on the upcoming meetings of the US-Armenia Task Force and the first meeting of the US-Armenia Trade and Investment Council.


The cooperation in the framework of the International Organizations was also on the agenda of the talks.


The Deputy Secretary expressed appreciation for the participation of the President of Armenia at the Peacekeeping summit which took place in the margins of the UN General Assembly in September and highly valued active participation of Armenia in the peacekeeping operations.


The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Deputy Secretary of State discussed the peace process of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution.


They exchanged views on several regional and international issues.
